1805 "District of Louisiana" reorganized as Territory of Louisiana.
1812 Territory of Louisiana reorganized into Missouri Territory (aka The Indian Country).
1819 Arkansas Territory organized from Missouri Territory.
Consists of Arkansas and majority of Oklahoma.
1824 Indian Territory (majority of Oklahoma) created from Arkansas
Territory. Remaining Arkansas Territiory consists of Arkansas.
1836 Arkansas admitted to the Union as 25th State.
