1795 North/Central portions of Spanish West Florida are relinquished by Spain.
1798 Old portion of Spanish West Florida is organized as the Mississippi Territory.
1802 Georgia relinguishs claims to North/Central Alabama and is added to the
Mississippi Territory.
1802 "Strip" added to the Mississippi Territory.
1810 West half of West Florida seized from Spain.
1817 Mississippi Territory dissolved, remainder organized into the Territory of Alabama.
1819 Alabama admitted to the Union as 22nd State.
